Founded on a passion for compassionate, progressive veterinary care, our journey began when Dr. Leah Montgomery took ownership of Shaughnessy Veterinary Hospital in 2001. Under her leadership, the hospital flourished — growing alongside the community it proudly serves.
Driven by a vision to provide specialized feline care, Dr. Montgomery opened Shaughnessy’s sister clinic and the Tri-Cities’ first cat-only clinic, Meadowbrook Cat Clinic, in 2016. This dedicated space was designed to create a calm, stress-free environment tailored specifically to the unique needs of cats and their families.
As the Tri-Cities community grew, so did our relationships, our team, and our commitment to serving the pets who are such an important part of our families. In 2020, Riverwood Veterinary Clinic was established — bringing together the strengths of both clinics under one roof, with thoughtfully designed separate areas for cats, dogs, and exotics.
Today, we are proud to offer comprehensive, compassionate care for your furry family members at every stage of life, while maintaining the individualized attention that has defined us from the very beginning.
